Super Junior Should Be Given What They're Worth

When I saw the Girls’ Generation album cover, the teaser images, everything… I immediately felt jealous. I felt so jealous I just couldn’t stand it. Those girls look absolutely gorgeous, and plus everything they release is a masterpiece.

I got jealous because… When I look at Super Junior’s comeback… Their teaser images had absolutely nothing to do with their music video or being “simple”. Their album cover was eccentric and their song wasn’t fresh. It was addictive but repetitive, and it didn’t do too well on the charts. I knowthat fans were disappointed but we all hid it behind a mask because we wanted to be happy for the boys.

Then suddenly came the news of it being Super Junior’s last comeback before a two year hiatus. And I thought, If SM knew all of this was going to happen, then why did they make this comeback so… not on par? It’s great to see the boys performing and smiling again, but they deserved something better.

SM is trying to live off of the Sorry Sorry days. For three years now. It’s time to say goodbye to the SJ Funky line. Girls’ Generation has such beautiful concepts, from cute Gee to sexy Genie and now French The Boys. That’s why I’m jealous. I’m jealous because Super Junior and Girls’ Generation are of the same scale, but yet SM rallies the most popular producers in the world (including Michael Jackson’s, may I add) to work with the girls while Super Junior has Yoo Youngjin. Believe me, I love him, but why put so much effort into only one of the group’s comebacks? Why not Super Junior as well? Aren’t the boys just as good? They work for hours on end and they deserve all the love in the world too. They deserve something new because every year the boys are changing and growing.

SM, why… Why can’t you give Super Junior something they’re worth? You’re considered one of Korea’s most accomplished entertainments. A-CHA was much too similar to Mr. Simple, I was hoping for at least something bubbly. Super Junior can top Sorry Sorry, all you have to do is just give them a chance. I’ve been to so many Korean fansites, trying to figure out what the deal is, but no one seems to be sure about SM. No one. There’s theories but no facts.

So yes, I’m jealous. I’m so jealous of Girls’ Generation and how lucky they are. I truly am. I wish SM could put so much attention to their boys as to their girls. That’s all I wish.

I’m not saying that Mr. Simple is bad, I just feel that there was so much potential. So much potential that could have been covered and wasn’t… Super Junior deserved something new and fresh. They truly did.

Please SM, give them a chance. Please.

I submitted this as a secret because I know one of the biggest things on Tumblr is trying to create fanwars, and although I’m trying to stay away from one, I know that there will still be controversy if I release it on my own Tumblr. ELF gets really emotional when it comes to blaming SM because everyone has a different viewpoint of the entertainment. I just feel that this comeback was either half-hearted or planned by people who have just totally run dry of ideas. Super Junior’s worth more than that. Much more.
